The Sima Collective residency programme offers artists dedicated time and space to develop their practice within a shared studio environment in Dubai. Artists are selected through a combination of invitations and ongoing research into practices that resonate with the collective’s ethos, bringing together individuals working across disciplines and encouraging dialogue, exchange and experimentation.

Residents are given access to the studio for a defined period, allowing them to focus on research, production or the development of new work, with an emphasis on process rather than fixed outcomes.

Throughout their time at Sima, artists become part of a wider ecosystem with opportunities to engage in open studios, informal presentations and public moments, while the programme remains flexible and responsive to each artist’s needs within a shared commitment to critical practice, collaboration and growth.
