Camelia Mohebi

Camelia Mohebi (b. 1978, Dubai) is a multidisciplinary Emirati artist working across painting, sculpture, mixed media, and installation. With over two decades of practice, her work explores identity, memory, healing, and transformation through experimental materials and methodologies that bridge symbolic, cultural, and metaphysical realms.

Raised between the UAE, Iran, and Switzerland, she studied Visual Communication at the American International University in London. Her practice is informed by experience in theatre, film, design, and integrative healing.

Her work often uses abstraction, repetition, and layered typographic forms to explore perception and collective memory. She has exhibited at institutions including Christie’s (London), Sotheby’s (Dubai), Rossi & Rossi (Hong Kong), and the Dubai Calligraphy Biennale.

In 2023, she founded The Sima Collective, a platform focused on residencies, workshops, and exhibitions supporting experimental, process-driven art.
